THE CHICKS

ABOUT

The YA Chicks are a group  of Florida-based YA (young adult) authors as well as an agent and editor who are committed to delivering high quality presentations on our books, the publishing process, and the craft of writing fiction to schools, libraries, bookstores, writer's conferences, writer's groups, and book festivals. In addition, we schedule annual tours around the US. Click on each author's image or name to view their personal websites.

Vivi Barnes is the author of Olivia Twisted, Olivia Decoded, and Paper or Plastic. Vivi lives in the magic and sunshine of Orlando, FL, where she divides her time (sometimes with difficulty) working, playing with family, and devising new ways of torturing her characters.

CHRISTINA FARLEY is the author of the bestselling Gilded series and middle grade, THE PRINCESS AND THE PAGE. Prior to that, she worked as an international teacher and at a top secret job for Disney where she was known to scatter pixie dust before the sun rose. When not traveling the world or creating imaginary ones, she spends time with her family in Clermont, Florida with her husband and two sons where they are busy preparing for the next World Cup, baking cheesecakes, and raising a pet dragon that’s in disguise as a cockatiel.

Amy Christine Parker is the author of the critically acclaimed duology Gated and Astray and the recently released Smash & Grab. Before she became a writer she worked as a waitress, a dollmaker, and an elementary school teacher. She currently lives in Tampa with her husband, their two daughters, and three crazy cats.
